Pathways - Alzheimer's and Dementia Day Program

As a harmonious group at Pathways we strive to provide a safe and secure environment for all our clients, while enriching the quality of life for each individual. We feel that giving our clients a supportive environment with enthusiastic staff allows our clients to participate in activities such as:

  • music therapy

  • discussing and reading newspaper articles

  • daily walks (nice weather we enjoy walks to our nearby park, lake and garden center with staff). We are able to enjoy this as we are located in a rural atmosphere.

  • games (bocce ball, bingo, etc.)

  • enjoying celebrations special to each and every client is a vital part of our program.

  • Local Entertainment

  • Picnics in the summer at our local Elk Lake.

  • bingo

  • baking treats

  • painting

  • exercise

Cats created by the clientsWe use hands on activities (Crafts) for individuals who may not be able to converse, and we seek out interests previously enjoyed.

We have a beautiful garden to enjoy spring and summer, which is well looked after by staff and client input. We encourage clients to perform activities of daily living to enhance a sense of ownership of our program.  On beautiful days we walk to our nearby lake to feed the ducks and enjoy some fresh air.

Additional information regarding Alzheimer's and dementia available on our "Resources" page.
