GROW (Gateway to Resources and Options for Wellness) is a psychosocial rehabilitation program that promotes wellness and community integration. We provide an environment where clients can develop social, communication, and life skills in order to pursue a healthy lifestyle. Our program offers a variety of activities that aim to maximize physical, mental, and spiritual health. Also, we support clients in making lifestyle changes that improve health through our personal development group, our nutrition program, our smoking cessation group, and our TOPS weight loss group.

We work with a variety of different people towards pursuing individual recovery goals. Some examples may include:

  • Increasing independence

  • Developing communication and coping skills

  • Learning relaxation and meditation techniques

  • Improving physical health

  • Creating healthy relationships

  • Increasing knowledge of nutrition and access to healthy food

  • Developing cooking skills

  • Artistic expression

  • Exploring opportunities for meaningful participation

  • Creating a daily structure

  • Acquiring computer skills.

We also work in collaboration with our in-house programs; NetWorks job search program and education coaching as well as various other mental health programs in our community.

Referral Process:  Referral forms are to be completed by a health care professional who is familiar with your mental health challenges. Clients attending GROW must have a primary diagnosis of mental illness and/or addictions, and be able and willing to be active participants in their recovery plan.
