G.R.O.W (Gateway to Resources and Options for Wellness) is a psychosocial rehabilitation program that promotes wellness and community integration. We serve adults with a primary diagnosis of mental illness, who are wishing to actively work on their recovery and improve their quality of life. We provide an environment where clients can focus on developing new skills that will enable them to pursue a healthy lifestyle which is the foundation of recovery. Our program offers a variety of group activities that aim to maximize physical, mental, and spiritual health, and to develop skills that will support recovery not just while attending the program, but throughout life.
When you first attend G.R.O.W. you will meet with the Program Manager to discuss what you wish to achieve by attending G.R.O.W. and create a recovery plan that will help you to your achieve these goals. The activities that are offered change regularly, but are focused on achieving the following outcomes:

  • Improved communication skills
  • Stress Management
  • Improved physical health
  • Healthy relationships
  • Increasing knowledge of healthy food choices
  • Improved cooking skills to support a healthy diet
  • Expanded opportunities for meaningful participation in the community
  • Increased capacity to establish and follow a daily structure that supports recovery
  • Increased participation in the greater community


Listed below are just a few examples of the activities that participants can attend to support these outcomes and move forward in the recovery journey:

  • Stress Management and Relaxation (Yoga and Qi Gong)
  • Creative arts
  • Nutrition and cooking classes
  • Floor Hockey
  • Goal setting and discussions

We also work in collaboration with our in-house programs; NetWorks Employment  Services  and our  Education Coach program, as well as various other mental health programs in our community

Referral Process: Referral forms are to be completed by a health care professional who is familiar with your mental health challenges. Clients attending GROW must have a primary diagnosis of mental illness and/or addictions, and be able and willing to be active participants in their recovery plan.
